On July 7th we activated our new Koioty software. Koioty is a desktop web app (specifically a Single Page Application) developed with the Quasar open source framework, also optimized for use on tablets and smartphones.
Koioty is designed for the industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and aimed at the corporate and productive sector. Koioty gives you an overview of all the data collection devices in the industrial plants as well as their measurements in real time. Other additional features support the management and operators: personalized dashboards, configurable alarms and a system of charts to compare different kinds of data along the timeline.
The project was in collaboration with M4SS, a startup from the city of Reggio Emilia that has been active in the industrial automation IoT field for years. M4SS helped configure the hardware devices from which Koioty gets a multimeter data to measure energy consumption. What’s more, Koioty allows users to use the web app to connect to two computers at the Dreamonkey and M4SS headquarters. Indeed, Koioty also has remote connection features (RDP, VNC, etc.) to computers and terminals near the machines.
The driving force behind Koioty is the desire to offer a modern technical solution that complies with the best practices of usability to manage the challenges and opportunities of Industry 4.0. The software is in its alpha phase and is just the tip of the iceberg. The beta version and then official 1.0 are on the way. We will be working with other companies to add new features and we would be happy to hear from investors and companies interested in integrating Koioty in their processes.
