What is a Web App

Web Apps are software that is accessible via browser. These apps do not require a specific version for each operating system (Windows, MacOS, etc.) Because they are not installed but made available through an Internet connection. Web Apps have various advantages and are increasingly substituting old desktop versions. The updates occur automatically and teams with different operating systems can collaborate on platforms that are the same for everyone. What’s more, the data inserted in the Web App is always saved on the Cloud allowing access from multiple devices without synchronisation problems.

ManyWeb Apps such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Maps and Facebook are also Single Page Applications.
